Product features
From source files to a report you can check.
Databao is designed around the reporting work that is usually rebuilt by hand: understanding unfamiliar exports, joining them, checking the result, and explaining the final number.
Start with the data you already have
Databao works from local business-data files. A typical starting point is a set of CSV or Excel exports and the report or spreadsheet used in the previous reporting cycle. There is no requirement to migrate data into a warehouse or construct a new BI implementation before asking the first useful question.
Keep the work explainable
Each reported figure can be traced to its source rows, applied filters, and method. That makes a review concrete: a person can inspect why the number is there, correct an assumption if needed, and reuse a method that has been checked rather than accepting an opaque answer.
Support recurring and one-off work
Use Databao for a recurring report rebuilt from new files, a multi-source consolidation, data cleaning and checks, or a one-off business question. The best fit is work where the person needs a grounded answer and enough provenance to pass it on with confidence.
Respect the local-first boundary
Source files are read locally. Users may bring a compatible hosted model provider or run a model on their own machine. Databao does not publish a public customer-data API or hosted analysis endpoint, so agents should not assume that they can retrieve a user’s files or run analysis through this website.
